Fiction
The editor requested that I design Opal Mehta, a book about a teenage girl who learns to stop taking life so seriously.
A rush job for Little, Brown, and Company, I designed, did a cast-off, and marked up the manuscript for the typesetter in four hours.
Misfortune is a faux-Victorian novel that featured illustrated drop caps.
Non-Fiction
I designed, paged, typeset, and corrected the "Host" essay in David Foster Wallace's Consider the Lobster, working very closely with the author via telephone.
Opus: 25 Years of His Sunday Best
I organized and found the artists for the new digital coloring for this anniversary collection of Berkeley Breathed's popular comic strip, along with designing the template for the interiors, and adapting the author's designs for the section pages.
This is Burning Man
I designed the interior, and picked the photos and designed the insert for this book about the yearly Burning Man festival.
Searching for the Sound
I designed the interior and the inserts for this memoir written by Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh.
